Product Review - Revlon Nail Enamel - Elusive #474

Revlon Nail Enamel - Elusive #474

Reviewing the Revlon Nail Enamel in shade #474 by the name "Elusive". This enamel was a part of the limited edition Gucci Westman Fall Evening Opulence collection by Revlon which was released late last year.

   Product Claims:
- Silk-Silicone formula delivers a layer of silk protein which instantly evens out nail surface.
- Silicone shield rises to the surface to automatically smooth away bubbles, streaks and brush marks to deliver a salon perfect finish.
- Chip resistant smooth finish and rich glorious colour.
- Formaldehyde and Toluene free formula.
- Made to last as long as 10 days when used along with a base coat and a top coat.

   Price: Rs.160/-
   Volume: 8 ml.
   Finish: Matte.
   Shelf Life: 36 months.
Application: Shake gently. Apply 2 coats. For best result, use with a single layer of base coat and top coat.

2 Coats of Enamel without Top Coat

Revlon Nail Enamels are available in 64 colorful variants which range from those with a matte finish to those with a glossy finish.
This particular gel based nail enamel which I am reviewing today is black in color with large hexagonal and smaller round bluish glitter particles in it. The blue glitter particles are not very prominent, remain "Elusive"and give the nails a "Starry Night" appearance.

2 Coats of Enamel without Top Coat

The consistency of the enamel is not very runny and is easy to apply.  The nail enamel dries up to give a matte look. A single layer of enamel gives a pretty opaque color, although 2 coats are necessary for completely opaque nails. The texture of the enamel after drying up becomes a little clumpy, which can be corrected by applying top coat on it which makes the nails looks much more prettier. Without the top coat, few of the glitter particles turn silver in a day or two of applying the enamel and also the enamel starts loosing its matte finish. The enamel stays on just for a day or two for me without a top coat or a base coat but lasts for around a week with two layers on top coat.

Revlon Nail Enamel - Elusive #474
2 Coats of Enamel with Top Coat

   Pros:
- Available in an attractive sturdy glass bottle.
- Quick dry formula.
- 2 coats sufficient for opaque colored nails.
- Matte finish.
- The blue glitter particles disperse uniformly and easily.
- Wide range of shades available.
- Staying power is excellent when applied with a top coat.
- Easily available in India.
- Appropriately priced.

   Cons:
- The enamel dries up to give a clumpy texture.
- Without a top coat, the enamel begins to chip in a day or two.

Revlon Nail Enamel - Elusive #474
2 Coats of Enamel with Top Coat

Verdict: 4/5. Would recommend it and definitely would want to try these enamels in other shades.

Pantaloons End Of Season Sale Haul

It's that time of the year that every girl desperately waits for - The End Of Season Sale! I too was pretty excited for the same when I came across a message from Pantaloons stating that their much awaited sale would be starting soon!
Sadly, I wasn't in Mumbai when the sale started and a week had already passed before I came back to town! So understandably, I was pretty sad thinking that most of the nice stuff would have already been sold from Pantaloons!
When we entered the store in Infiniti 2 Mall, it seemed very small compared to the ones that I had previously been to in other malls. It just occupied a part of a floor. Seeing this I became sad thinking I won't get much choice to buy much from there, but I was completely taken by surprise by the lovely colors and prints on display and I came back with shopping bags filled with awesome clothes!

The clothes at the store were all displayed systematically with ethnic and western wear sections in separate areas. Also, they were arranged according to the size making it easy for me to browse through them and pick the stuff that I liked!
What I liked the most about this particular outlet was that it wasn't very crowded, which made me save a lot of time trying on clothes in the trial room and while making the payment for my purchases!
Here's my loot from the store. Although I liked a lot more stuff from the store, I stuck to my budget and ended up buying  two dresses, two kurtis, a basic blue jeans and a top from Pantaloons!

Bare Denim
Bare Denim Top - Rs. 314.48
Kraus
Kraus Jeans - Rs. 1025.33
Forever 21
Forever 21 Dress - Rs. 786.98
Bare Denim
Bare Denim Dress - Rs. 923.16
Rangmanch
Rangmanch Kurti - Rs. 839.16
Biba
Biba Kurti - Rs. 566.37

The total bill for all these purchases with the discount along with the cost for the Pantaloons Green Card was around Rs. 4600/- which was again considerable reduced all thanks to Gift vouchers that I received from the wonderful guys at Pantaloons and from Viviana Mall.
A good thing about Pantaloons is that they give their Green Card holders extra discount which varies depending upon the number of stars that our card holds and every purchase at Pantaloons also earns the customer ICICI Payback points which can be redeemed at Pantaloons on subsequent visit or on many other online/offline stores!
I was completely satisfied with all my purchases at Pantaloons as the quality and prints of the clothes were worth every buck that I spent!
I only regret that I had was that Pantaloons had a Flat 50% Off across all their stores the day after I went shopping! If only, I had timed the day of shopping well I could have saved a few more bucks or could have bought a few more clothes!
Would rate Pantaloons and particularly their Infiniti 2 Mall outlet 5/5! Can't wait for the new collection to hit the stores to visit Pantaloons once again!

Revlon Colorburst Lipgloss #Adorned

These Colorburst Lipglosses are available in 18 amazing shades ranging from subtle nudes to shocking reds. The one which I am reviewing is Adorned, a hot pink shade which has tiny shimmer particles in it, but many shades are available without the shimmer also. The color is very loud and vibrant, not something which can be applied in everyday life, but is more appropriate for parties and special occasions and is sure to catch the attention of everyone!

   Pros:
- Available in long see through sturdy plastic bottles with a black cap.
- The shape of applicator brush makes applying the gloss easy and precise.
- Smooth texture without any kind of grittiness.
- Not sticky in consistency.
- Intense color.
- Well suited for women with pigmented lips.
- Single swipe enough to get maximum color pay off.
- Keeps the lips well moisturized.
-  Available in both matte as well as shimmery shades.
- Wide range of shades available.
- Easily available in India.

   Cons:
- Easily transfer onto surfaces and isn't smudge proof.
- Does not last very long making reapplications necessary.
- On costlier side.

Verdict: 4.25/5. Will surely recommend to others and repurchase this gloss!
